When CD Projekt RED unveiled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we were bowled over by just how detailed and epic the game looked. The weather effects, character models, environments and so much more convinced us that the developer wasn’t kidding when it was aiming to make the “prettiest” game out there. Alas, those screenshots were from an old renderer. The new build was said to look even better shockingly enough.

Today, we got our first look at just what the The Witcher 3 would look like with the new renderer, and running on DirectX 11. In the above screenshot, Geralt can be seen standing before a village on fire. The flames alone has us hypnotized. If Far Cry 3 was supposed to be the most realistic and destructive depiction of flames in video games, The Witcher 3 looks like it’s going to give it a run for its money.

As of now, the only thing we know about the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s release date is that it will be coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 in sometime in 2014.
