If you’ve played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for more than a few hours (at which point, congratulations! You’ve completed probably 5 percent of the game), you’ll soon discover that some quests are completely out of your current level. Whether it’s the odd secondary quest or a random Royal Griffon that appears to murder you, there will be plenty of times where you’ll feel outleveled.

This puts more emphasis on getting stronger and exploring the world around you but one question has bugged players since day one: Just what is the game’s level cap? According to CD Projekt RED community coordinator Marcin Momot on Twitter, there isn’t any. “There is no level cap.”

It’s interesting because you will eventually complete all the quests in-game and unlock all the abilities on offer but there won’t really be any new challenges. This suggests that a New Game Plus mode could be in the works as free DLC but CD Projekt RED has yet to confirm the same. Regardless, become more powerful in the meantime – it’s not like the game will stop you.
