CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a massive RPG, approaching a hundred hours of gameplay, if not more, but even if you have already completed the story, and the brand new New Game Plus mode, you’ll still be returning to the game in the near future.

That’s because of the two expansions for the game; the first of these, Hearts of Stone, will be launching in October.

Speaking at a stockholders meeting about the game, and its future, CD Projekt RED unveiled the first pieces of art for the two expansions (see above), and also gave us the first bit of information about both of them.

“Hearts of Stone will take Geralt on an all-new 10-hour adventure into the wilds of No Man’s Land and the nooks and alleys of Oxenfurt, where he’ll try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass,” their description for the expansion reads. “Caught in a thick tangle of deceit, Geralt will need all his cunning and strength to solve the mystery and emerge unscathed.

“Blood and Wine, a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.”

If the idea of 30 more hours of The Witcher 3 sounds good to you, you can purchase the Expansion Pass for $25, and you’ll get access to both of these as soon as they launch. You can also purchase them separately and piecemeal, if you want.
