An already good looking game, is improved upon.

The witcher 3 Skellige Islands

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is looked at as a really good looking game, no matter whether you’re talking about the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Having said that, the title is incredibly pretty on the PC and a new mod is making that version of the game look even better. Specifically this mod called Volumetric Clouds Over Skellige will make your visit to the Skellige islands that much more enjoyable.

As the title suggest, this mod adds volumetric clouds to the Skellige islands portion of the game’s map. The new adjustment actually makes the islands less welcoming to your character but definitely makes the scenery even more impressive to look at. It was released earlier this week and can be downloaded here. The interesting thing about this release is it shows that despite the fact The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released several months back, it still has a very devoted player base. In that regard we haven’t seen this many mods released for a game out on the market for months since Grand Theft Auto 5.

Even better is that CD Projekt RED isn’t done tweaking and adding new content all by themselves. Recently the company said its next DLC for the game will be bringing a ton of “awesome” new content for the players to try out. In the meantime, you can download this mod for your PC version and look on in awe. Check out a couple of screenshots of the new Skellige islands below.
