Since its return to the public eye, Thief 4 – now being referred to as Thief given its reboot nature – has attracted its fair amount of attention. Screenshots for the game look phenomenal and the new Focus system is already attracting interest. As if to thank the community for its positive reception, Eidos Montreal has revealed a short teaser to hype the gameplay.

The teaser titled “Candle” has an unseen Garrett simply walk up and snuff out a candle from the shadows. The footage appears to be real-time but more importantly, it hypes a full gameplay reveal on April 2nd with the tagline “What’s Yours is Mine”.

Because he’s a thief. Get it?

Thief is currently slated to release for PS4, PC and other next generation consoles in 2014. Given all the hype that next generation franchises are getting, now is as good a time as any for Eidos Montreal to showcase the game on the road to E3 2013.
