There were thousands of theories as to why the PSN was hacked and every media outlet came up with their own. But when Sony called for a press conference yesterday they published a pretty colorful infographic in the press booklet.
I am not sure what exactly is happening here, so I will leave the understanding part to you guys. It looks like the Application server was vulnerable and the hacker accessed the communication tool and obtained admin rights to attack the database server…simple eh?
