The first story trailer for Eclipse Glow Games’ Tides of Annihilation has finally debuted, confirming the new voice for protagonist Gwendolyn: Angela Sant’Albano, best known for voicing Grace from Resident Evil Requiem. We see her sitting about, wondering about the next step until Guinevere provides some much-needed context. Check it out below.
As it turns out, a “fog” is devouring modern London and even eroding Avalon (where King Arthur originally hails from). While the latter could control it, he’s seemingly out of the picture, leaving Gweyndolyn to take up the sword. Since she can also harness the fog and the spectral knights of the Round Table, it’s up to her to stop the encroaching destruction.
Of course, there are new gameplay snippets, including the reveal of Lancer, who quickly tears through opponents with blinding speed. Gwendolyn is also seen on a dragon, riding through the skies and fending off airborne attacks.
Tides of Annihilation is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (with PS5 Pro support). There’s still no release date, much less a window, but it continues to look slick. It’s playable for attendees at Gamescom, though other hands-on experiences can be expected throughout the Summer, so stay tuned for more details.
