Titanfall 2 (3)

Titanfall 2, the sequel to Respawn’s breakout first person shooter, is still a few months away but the developer has teased a new YouTube series called “Inside Development” where it will talk about design choices to fans and explain things better.

For example, Respawn will explain how Titanfall 2 handles its servers and changes to matchmaking. Producer Drew McCoy noted that, “We’re changing a lot of our matchmaking systems so you can find better games quicker. We’ve added this awesome new thing called Networks that lets you make groups of friends and play together a lot easier.”

McCoy noted that future videos will discuss features like the new Progression System. “This isn’t anything other than actual game developers telling you how we’re doing our job. We learned a lot during Titanfall 1; there’s a lot of experience gained there, a lot of lessons learned, and we’ve been rolling a lot of that into Titanfall 2.”

Titanfall 2 is out on October 28th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
