Tom Clancy's The Division

Tom Clancy’s The Division, the upcoming third person shooter/MMORPG, continues to receive new details en route to its beta in December. Many of these come by way of an official video in which members of the development team at Ubisoft Massive answer questions from fans regarding the game’s Dark Zones.

In The Division, the Dark Zones are essentially quarantined zones filled with great loot but where you will encounter tough foes and other players. These players can attack you and steal your loot or cooperate with you. However, in an intriguing twist, you can turn on your own team members and go rogue in the Dark Zone.

Will the Dark Zone be the only place for PvP? According to the dev team, it will be but it will be very large, even bigger than what the demo at E3 2015 showcased. Online producer Johan Oldbring also stated that, “The exact number of players that we will have in the Dark Zone is something that we will have to decide and we have to balance it by means of testing and player feedback from the beta in December. But will we have more than 9 players? Hell yes.”

The Division will be out in March 2016 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
