If you thought there wasn’t much more to Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition than a higher resolution and more detailed textures, then think again. Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have released a new video wherein executive producer Scot Amos offers a breakdown of all the technology happening in the Definitive Edition and how it serves as a monumental first step for Lara Croft entering into the next generation.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition didn’t suffer the amount of controversies that the original release saw when it was first announced, but it did get embroiled in the next gen console war. This was due to the PS4 version being outed as running at 60 frames per second while the Xbox One version was locked at 30 FPS. Square Enix has maintained that both versions are nearly identical in terms of assets and native resolution though.

What are your thoughts on the overall next gen look of Croft at this point? Let us know below.
