System Shock 2
If System Shock introduced us to the concept of a first-person shooter RPG, System Shock 2 showed us how terrifying the universe could be. Much of this due to the game’s stellar sound design and the overall mood lighting. It was a heady combination, aided by its terrifying enemies. Overall, System Shock 2 was more tactical, even-paced but altogether entrancing despite the disturbing content on display.
