SOMA
Though Frictional Games could have easily made another first-person horror akin to Amnesia, it chose a different route with SOMA. More dark sci-fi fantasy than outright horror, SOMA nevertheless delivered a dread-inducing ride of mystery and cybernetic monstrosities. Players will progress through an underwater research facility, first attempting to understand it but then confronting something much more dire. Even if you play on Easy mode without facing any monsters, the psychological depths of SOMA’s story are worth experiencing.
