Like Claire and Leon, Jill is a character that’s benefited from consistent characterization, and with each new appearance, she’s become an increasingly more likeable character. The fact that she was one of the two playable characters in the series’ first game earns her massive points as it is, but on top of that, she’s been an impressive presence even in the likes of Resident Evil 3, Revelations, and 5. On top of that, her run-ins with the likes of Wesker and Nemesis – arguably the two most formidable antagonists in the series – have only made her stronger. Best of all, last year’s RE3 remake delivered what is probably the best portrayal of Jill in a Resident Evil game to date. As far as series canon is concerned, Jill hasn’t seen a lot of action since the events of Resident Evil 5, so here’s hoping she makes a major appearance in a mainline game that isn’t a remake not long from now. Come on, Capcom. She’s rested long enough. Give the fans what they want.
