Need for Speed Payback

Speaking of “reinvigorate”, another franchise that’s been in need of some fresh ideas and competent execution is Need for Speed. Ghost Games seem to be on the right track with Need for Speed Payback, presenting a huge open world to explore with tons of races and activities. You can find beat-up old rides to repair, stunts to perform and much more. Story-wise, Payback seems to be going too far in the Fast and Furious-style “heist” direction with three playable characters battling a cartel. Time will tell just how compelling the campaign really is but at least there’s tons of customization for vehicles and offline options this time. Look for it to release on November 10th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
