Sonic Forces

Sonic Forces started out as a neat follow-up to Sonic Generations and quickly devolved into having a timed demo, character avatars that can be customized and a hackneyed story with a new villain called Infinite (who has his own accompanying rock track, of course). Er, yeah. Sega does seem to be focusing once more on selecting “Classic” and “Modern”  Sonics, the former offering a 2.5D platforming experience not unlike classic titles while the latter presents high-speed stages and fast action a la Sonic Colors. Seeing Sonic the Hedgehog forming a “resistance” to battle against Eggman’s forces of evil is kind of hokey but maybe the gameplay can make up for it. Sonic Forces arrives on November 7th for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
