Sea of Thieves
Even those who found Sea of Thieves disappointing at launch saw its aesthetic as simply charming. Rare didn’t just stick a cartoony style on top of a pirate game and call it a day though. It invested time and work into the water, modelling its movement at different times of day, different weather conditions and so on. The influence of light on the ocean lends an amazingly atmospheric feel and it’s worth checking out Sea of Thieves for that alone.
