Monster Hunter Stories
For all the hype surrounding Monster Hunter XX in Japan for the Switch and Monster Hunter World for current gen platforms in 2018, Monster Hunter Stories is…different. The combat here is turn-based and the player assumes the role of a Rider who must capture eggs, hatch them and battle with the monsters raised. There’s an element of egg-stealing for gathering other monsters, not to mention the fact that you can ride the monsters. As it stands, Monster Hunter Stories is interesting enough to warrant a look when it’s out on September 8th for the 3DS. Just don’t walk in expecting the classic Monster Hunter you know and love.
