Metroid: Samus Returns
It’s not Metroid Prime 4 but Metroid: Samus Returns will appeal to old-school fans all the same. Developed by Castlevania: Lords of Shadow developer MercurySteam, Metroid: Samus Returns is a reimagining of Metroid 2. That means 3D graphics on a side-scrolling plane with new areas, new controls and some interesting new features. For example, Samus is capable of performing melee counter-attacks against enemies and she can also benefit from new Aeion powers for abilities like scanning the environment. Combined with Metroid tropes like the Grapple Beam, Missiles and, well, Metroids, Metroid: Samus Returns brings the nostalgia on September 15th for Nintendo 3DS.
