Not quite Dark Souls, not quite Ninja Gaiden and with a dash of Diablo thrown in Team Ninja’s Nioh was definitely unique, taking the danger and stamina management of the Souls series while throwing us back to demon-infested feudal Japan. Though it doesn’t quite have the level design or world-building of Dark Souls, Nioh is simply fantastic with its boss battles, combat, customization and sheer campaign length.
