With Yakuza 0 providing an excellent way to get into the series, Sega set about remaking the first Yakuza game. And while it may have some unevenness, the effort put into Yakuza Kiwami is incredible. The annoying English voice-acting is gone, replaced with a full Japanese cast. A new Majima Everywhere system keeps players on their toes at all times while the story has been cleaned up and bolstered by new plot-lines to make it all fit together better.
