14. Sea of Thieves
On the other side of games that improved with time is Sea of Thieves. Though criticized at launch for its simplistic gameplay, the streamlined approach feels great next to all the other live service titles these days. The emphasis on exploration and charting the world combined with the Tall Tales and their engaging storytelling is wonderful. That there’s so much to discover and so many hijinx to experience, especially against other players, makes it one of the better live service titles.
