5. Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty
Beginning as CD Projekt RED’s most controversial launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has reached a satisfying conclusion after the launch of Phantom Liberty. The latter offered a far better story and mission design, but even the base game is a significantly better experience than before, with new skills, better build-crafting, a proper Wanted system, vehicular combat, and even the metro system. Though it was always impressive with its presentation, main characters, and side quests, Cyberpunk 2077 felt lacking in substance at launch. All these updates and improvements later, it’s a defining title for CD Projekt RED’s legacy and an incredible game besides.
