The Quarry
More a thriller than hardcore horror, Supermassive Games’ spiritual successor to Until Dawn is an enjoyable teen slasher romp, and – much like its predecessor – features an ensemble cast with Hollywood horror movie heavyweights like David Arquette, Lin Shaye, and Ted Raimi. Revolutionary is the game’s branching narratives too, leading to 186 different endings with each of the nine characters’ fates left to player choice. The Quarry is edgy and tense, brilliantly scripted and acted, and a game that’s as enjoyable to watch as it is to play.
