6. Doom: The Dark Ages
id Software is currently hard at work on Doom: The Dark Ages which serves as a prequel to the recent reboot games. Set against the backdrop of the Medieval Ages, Doom: The Dark Ages is all about the familiar feeling of blasting through hordes of demons in huge arenas but it also brings new innovations to the table including but not limited to giant mechs, dragon mounts, and damage block shields. It comes out for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2025.
