#18. RATCHET AND CLANK (2016)
Ratchet and Clank has been synonymous with PlayStation for a long, long time, and frankly, it’s a little hard to believe that the duo showed up only once on the PS4. It’s a good thing, then, that their sole outing on the console was such an excellent one. Part remake of the first game, part based on a movie (based on the first game), Ratchet and Clank (2016) was a back-to-the-basics deal for the series in every way possible- and it worked. The chaotic combat, the tight platforming, the solid level design, the loveable characters, and of course, an arsenal of ridiculous gadgets- this game delivered everything you want to see in a Ratchet and Clank game in spades. The fact that it looked almost like a playable Pixar movie was just icing on the cake.
