Rise of the Tomb Raider
Lara Croft made her impactful return in 2013 with Tomb Raider, a reboot that showcased a grittier side to our favourite archaeologist/treasure hunter. Rise of the Tomb Raider didn’t deviate too far from this formula but chose to subtly broaden it. The worlds are much larger now, containing more side quests and optional tombs to explore while the puzzles and crafting are suitably more complex. Even with some similar set pieces, like climbing to a high point while battling supernatural foes en route to the climax, Rise of the Tomb Raider is a good old fashioned action adventure.
