Halo 5: Guardians

The story of Halo 5: Guardians is perhaps one of the lowest points of the series, even if you’re not a hardcore fan of the lore. Where did all that “Hunt the Truth” stuff lead to anyway? While the campaign may not be described as “amazing”, it can still be fun. The real appeal lies in multiplayer. 343 Industries has done well to build off the initially hollow multiplayer, balancing Warzone with a Firefight variant, throwing in custom Forge playlists, adding new maps and cosmetics over months – which turned into years – and much more. The PvP may not exactly recapture the glory days of personal empowerment that Halo 2 to Reach offered but it can still be fun.
