Final Fantasy III for DS wasn’t the first remake of the game.

Final Fantasy 3 was a difficult game and as such not many players or fans want to mention the game was part of the series. , Final Fantasy III has nearly been forgotten and  the GBA and PSP remakes of Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy IV are practically based on renditions of those games planned for the Japan-only version. However, the Wonder Swan version of FFIII was dumped and it was never to be released to the public.
