No Man’s Sky

Why No Man's Sky

Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky is still in that very interesting flux state wherein the experience of a game becomes more apparent than its gameplay. You can travel the universe, exploring new planets and mining minerals to get to the centre of your very own everything. You’ll probably do it alone and then run off to check out the progress your friends have made. But what do you do in a game as massively epic as No Man’s Sky?

It’s important to note that there’s more to the experience than just gathering minerals but the exploration aspect may be a phenomena upon itself. The visuals, despite their obvious lack of photo-realism, are gorgeous, with a literal universe painted before our eyes. If Hello Games’ aim was to give us an infinitely beautiful space to explore, it’s already succeeded. Hopefully the gameplay will do justice to all those pretty snapshots.
