Rime
It’s amazing that Microsoft rejected Tequila Works’ Rime as an Xbox One exclusive simply due to the lack of multiplayer and social elements. Though the developer’s initial work Deadlight was average (despite looking simply gorgeous), Rime looks incredible at this stage.
Rime sees you playing as a young boy attempting to escape an island and eluding a curse at the same time. Comparisons to Journey and Ico have already been made and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The mysterious nature of the game and how the day/night cycles will play a part in the protagonist’s survival already have us intrigued.
The question now is whether Rime will just be a beautifully realized game in terms of its visuals or not. We’re willing to wait to find out.
