Trine 4 - The Nightmare Prince

Frozenbyte’s upcoming Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is promising a return to form for the platforming/puzzle series after the disappointing experiment that was Trine 3, and in all that we’ve seen of the game so far, it’s looked exactly like the kind of game fans of the series would have been hoping it would be. Now, publishers Modus Games have put out a new trailer of the game, nearly 10 minutes long, giving an overview of all that’s new and improved, and showing off a ton of gameplay footage.

The trailer goes over the co-operative Unlimited Mode and all the changes that are being made to combat, while also discussing the basics of what constitutes the traditional gameplay loop in a Trine game. That footage being shown off looks sharp, while the visuals and the art style are also looking particularly impressive. Take a look below.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is out on October 8 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. If you’ve never played any of the other Trine games, or just want to binge on every single one of them, Trine: Ultimate Collection – a compilation of all four Trine titles – also releases on those platforms on the same day.
