The Golden Joystick Awards have recently wrapped up and Ubisoft Montreal receive the award for Studio of the Year. The timing of this is interesting since some of its biggest releases like Assassin’s Creed: Unity and Far Cry 4 have yet to release. Nevertheless, it delivered some solid experiences in the past 12 months with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs and Child of Light.

Ubisoft Montreal has won this award for the first time and President and CEO Yannis Mallat was enthusiastic about the same. “I am extremely happy to accept this award on behalf of all our teams at Ubisoft Montreal. To be chosen Studio of the Year by players from around the world is a great honour and proof that we are moving in the right direction. We are fully dedicated to creating touching experiences that also enrich and entertain the lives of millions of people who play our games. This award is a tribute to our employees’ passion and talent.”
