Ubisoft has typically followed a model of releasing at least three major AAA games every year for some time now, and it’s something that the publisher will be doing in FY 2019-20 as well, which runs from April 2019 to March 2020. Ubisoft confirmed this in their latest financial conference call.

While speaking with investors in their briefing, Ubisoft stated that they have plans to launch three to four AAA titles throughout the coming financial year. Though they didn’t mention what those games can be, we can make some guesses based on some things we know, and some that have been speculated. We know for a fact that there is no Assassin’s Creed release planned for 2019, so we can rule that out. Skull & Bones is a game that is already confirmed for 2019, and given that Ubisoft did not want to name the games in question, we can probably assume it’s not one of those 3-4 titles either.

So what can we expect to see? A new Splinter Cell game is something that has long been demanded by fans of the series and rumoured. It was leaked in 2018, but never got announced, though we do know that a new Splinter Cell title had at least been in the conceptual stages at one point, while Ubisoft have also suggested that the franchise might return one dayWatch Dogs 3 is another game that has been part of speculation for a long time now, and we might end up seeing a release for it- then again, that is, as mentioned, only speculation.

Either way, the next few months should be interesting for those who follow Ubisoft and are looking forward to whatever it is they’re working on. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued updates.
