Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Guide- Collectibles, Treasures, Trophies, Leveling Up Faster, and More

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the fourth and final entry in Sony and Naughty Dog’s flagship series, which follows the globe trotting adventure of treasure hunter Nathan Drake, is now out, and it is every bit as great as you might have thought it will be. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is a massive game, probably the culmination of everything that Naughty Dog have been working towards over the last decade or so- it is definitely a game that deserves to be experienced by all players alike.

Since it is so much bigger than previous Uncharted games, it can be hard to keep track of everything going on. That’s where we come in- this guide has you covered- from the various collectibles, to the Trophies in the game, to tips and tricks for the game’s multiplayer mode, this guide will be your one stop for everything and anything Uncharted 4.

COLLECTIBLES

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has multiple different kinds of collectibles scattered throughout the game, that encourage the replaying of chapters, and going off the beaten trail a bit, in an attempt to scout them out. From treasures and trinkets, to journal entries, to optional conversations, to notes, there’s a lot of stuff to collect that you can’t just come across in the course of a regular playthrough of the game- and some of it is well hidden. No worries- this video playlist below will help you hunt down every last collectible there is in the game.

MULTIPLAYER

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has multiplayer. And while multiplayer is never quite the main attraction in an Uncharted game, it is always good enough that you probably want to give it a good go. But it can also be a bit overwhelming- especially since it functions quite differently from the single player modes.

If you are one of the players feeling lost in the multiplayer, we’re here to help. First, here are some basic tips and suggestions to any newcomer starting out in the multiplayer.

  • Play the tutorial, and pay close attention to it. Some extremely basic, but important, mechanics are spelt out for you here. Plus you get a Trophy just for completing it, so there’s also that. If you still feel shaky and unsure after completing the tutorial, you can always give Trials Mode a go.
  • Blindfire and aiming from the hip can actually be effective in Uncharted 4. Don’t be afraid to give these a try, especially when you are rushing an enemy.
  • Charged melee attacks are essential- learn the layout of each map, and learn when and where to use a charged melee attack.
  • Be liberal with how you use your throwable items. They recharge rather quickly, and they can be a lifesaver on the battlefield.
  • Learn the layout of the map- it can help not just with sneak and charged melee attacks, but also with giving you an advantage by letting you know some handy escape routes.
  • Customize your loadouts- pay close care and attention to what you take with you into a multiplayer game. If you’re not doing too well, changing your loadout may be what you need!

Plus, here are some pro tips for those who have mastered the basics:

  • Upgrade your gear. This helps improve the effectiveness and recharge rate of your items. Since the upgrade is permanent, the earlier you use it, the more help it will be in a game.
  • Command your sidekicks. Each sidekick has their own abilities and personality, and knowing when to utilize them properly can be the difference between victory and defeat.
  • On a similar note, maybe learn to take enemy sidekicks out. Rope-punching is one of the most effective ways to do this.

Customization, of course, is necessary if you want to get the upper hand in the multiplayer- that’s where this guide comes in.

Finally, if you wanted to level up quicker in the multiplayer mode, this video below has some handy tips for you:
