During the live demo, we got to see Nathan Drake taking on a small battalion of henchmen in a overlying battle amongst villagers in s small marketplace upon a hill. Rifles blazing, shots hit and miss often covered up the grand explosive prowess of the robust grenade physics. When a henchman would throw said grenade at Nathan, that distinctive tap, tap, tap of the explosive landing on the ground nearby, then, BOOM! A marvelous and practical explosive effect was more than just a bomb going boom. Each object, Nathan, henchmen, scenery would deal with the explosion in a very pragmatic form. The ground singed and objects burnt, grenades perform how one would think it would act in real life. Something often lost in translation in other games that show a grenade go off, show some smoke and often ignore any detail to damages around it.
