One of the biggest games of this year promises to be Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4, which will conclude the Uncharted saga and bring an end to the story of Nathan Drake. It is the game that caps off Naughty Dog’s premier franchise, and it has been anticipated for quite a while now- which means that it would suck if it ended up getting spoiled for someone before they got to play it.
Unfortunately, the odds of that happening just got higher now, thanks to the street date for the game having been broken in multiple places worldwide, leading to early sales and early playthroughs. The witch’s brew, in other words, to get something spoiled unwittingly. It is a situation that has caused Uncharted 4‘s director to take to Twitter and express disappointment at a story that the team has worked on for so long, so hard, being potentially spoiled in this way.
If that is a situation you want to avoid, then Uncharted 4‘s director Bruce Straley has taken to Twitter, recommending that fans go on a complete media blackout for the game, adding jokingly that they should ‘trust no one,’ not even Straley himself.
Uncharted 4 is less than two weeks away from release- let’s hope we can all make it to then without getting spoiled in some way or the other!
We work hard to preserve the experience. So when you play, it feels fresh & the beats land properly. Sucks it could be spoiled.

I'd like to recommend media blackout for all #Uncharted4 fans. Unfollow me, turn off your computer, & just wait by the mailbox til May 10! 😉

Trust no one. “@HecklerCS: @bruce_straley Why unfollow you? You're not going to start tweeting out spoilers, are you? :o”
