Uncharted4-1

No more delays (we hope) – Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has finally gone gold.

The developer announced the same on Twitter, stating that it was Very glad to say #Uncharted4 has gone gold today! Congrats to the team!!!”

The replies are full of congratulatory messages, including from Xbox Live director of programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, who said, “It’s always a great milestone when a game you worked on for years goes gold. Congrats!”

“Going gold” is a term used in game development when principle development is wrapped and the game is sent for disc manufacturing and distribution. It’s pretty much the best indicator that a game is on schedule and not due for any more delays, which is why it’s especially great in the case of Uncharted 4.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is out on May 10th for PlayStation 4. Stay tuned for more information on the game and let us know what you think of the news of it going gold.
