Since its announcement roughly a year agoUnder the Waves has turned a fair few heads, owing to its promise of a compelling, narrative-driven adventure title with a unique underwater setting. With the game set to launch towards the end of the month, developer Parallel Studio and publisher Quantic Dream have offered another look at what it will have in store.

In anticipation of the game’s release, a brief cinematic has been released. Presumably from the game’s earlier sections, the cutscene showcases the protagonist, Stan, getting into his submarine, conversing with someone over the radio, and preparing to start exploring the submerged environments around him. It’s brief, but it gives a nice taste of what the game will bring to the table, while also offering a glimpse of its stylized visual style. Check it out below.

Under the Waves will launch on August 29 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
