Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars Update Adds High Speed Mode

Enabling it will see the game master dealing cards as quickly as possible, though Square Enix warns that things may become "unstable."

Alim’s Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars was a rather unconventional RPG but with director Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe involved, it carved a decent niche for itself. A new update is now available to help even more players get into the game with High Speed Mode. As the name indicates, it allows for adjusting the game speed to have the game master dole out cards as quickly as possible.

There are some caveats, of course. Some cards cannot be rushed and Square Enix noted that the game may become “unstable” due to the strain that High Speed Mode places on the game master. As such, one can set the speed back to Normal or even switch between it and High Speed Mode by holding down the assigned button.

It’s also worth noting that High Speed Mode isn’t available in the demo – only the full game benefits from the same. Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is currently available for PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
