Digital Extremes’ Warframe is celebrating its six year anniversary, and in a press release they revealed some impressive numbers for the game. Sitting at 38 million players in March of 2018, the game now has a player base that is nearly 50 million strong, making 2018 the biggest year for growth in the game’s history.

2018 also saw Warframe achieve peaks for daily active users and daily monthly users. Digital Extremes are also giving away freebies in celebration of the game’s anniversary to players, including the Dex Excalibur skin, a new exclusive Liset Skin, as well as all previous anniversary gifts.

2018 was indeed a busy year for Warframe. On top of launching its massive new open world expansion, Fortuna, the game also got ported over to the Switch. Recently, Digital Extremes also kicked off a Battle Pass-style system, while just a couple weeks back, a new frame was added to the game as well.

Warframe wasn’t exactly in the best state when it launched back in 2013, but Digital Extremes have turned things around drastically to make it one of the most compelling experiences of its kind currently on the market. Here’s to even more improvements in the coming months and years.
