There aren’t many live service games out there that have the kind of cadence of updates and expansions that Warframe does, but even by its standards, Digital Extremes’ looter shooter has had a busy few months. Following the launch of a major new expansion last August with Heart of Deimos, the game launched for PS5 in November. An Xbox Series X update didn’t release at the same time, but that will be coming soon.
Digital Extremes have confirmed that Warframe will be releasing for Xbox Series X some time in April. The game will run at 4K and 60 frames per second, though there’s no word yet on what that will translate to for the Xbox Series S version. When Warframe launched for PS5, it also boasted support for Activities and DualSense features, though that’s obviously not going to be part of the Xbox Series X launch.
Warframe is also available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The developers have also said in the past that they plan to bring the game to “other devices” as well, so maybe we could see a mobile version down the line.
