Gamescom 2022 is underway, and Fatshark has shared a new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Along with quickly showcasing the number of player customization options and classes, it highlights the combat, various enemies encountered, and much more. Check it out below.

Written by Dan Abnett of Gaunt’s Ghosts and Eisenhorn fame, the story sees the city of Tertium occupied by the forces of Chaos. As its citizens fall under corruption, the Inquisition steps up to take them out. Players start as rejects who have volunteered to join the Inquisition and fight back against Chaos.

In addition to melee combat, which takes cues from Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Darktide also features a heavier focus on firearms and ranged combat. There are four classes to choose from, including the Warp-wielding Psyker and massive Ogryn, each with its unique abilities and weapons.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is out on November 30th for PC with the Xbox Series X/S version arriving at a “later date.” Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
