With Saber Interactive splitting from the Embracer Group in a $247 million deal, there’s the question of which projects the developer is still handling. Chief creative officer Tim Willits has addressed the same on Twitter, confirming that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and Jurassic Park: Survival are still under its purview.

“I’m happy to confirm we’re still working on several titles, including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, and Jurassic Park: Survival. We’re so excited about these titles and can’t wait to share more with everyone soon.”

Embracer has divested assets in 38 in-development projects at Saber, alongside “certain proprietary engine technology and game tools relating to the divested companies.” Studios like 3D Realms, New World Interactive and Slipgate Ironworks remain with Saber, and others like Aspyr Media, Beamdog, Tripwire Interactive, and more continue to be owned by Embracer.

The latter also maintains ownership of 14 projects that Saber oversaw, though two are confirmed to be joint ventures (and could include Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake). Saber could also acquire 4A Games of Metro series fame, though Embracer’s PLAION would retain publishing and licensing rights.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 launches on September 9th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park: Survival will launch on the same platforms, with the former announced for this year and the latter without a release date.
