Weird West

Developed by the founders of Arkane and the co-creators of Dishonored and Prey, WolfEye Studios’ Weird West has been on many radars since its announcement, and excitement and anticipation for the action RPG immersive sim’s launch has only grown as time has passed. That wait is now over, and to celebrate the game’s launch, publisher Devolver Digital has released a launch trailer. Check it out below.

Weird West tells its story through the perspectives of five different characters against the backdrop of an American frontier that’s being ravaged by outlaws and bandits, but also witches, werewolves, and all manner of beasts. The dark fantasy setting promises the complete freedom and reactivity of immersive sims, so fans of the genre might find plenty to like here.

In our review of Weird West, we awarded the game a score out of 9/10, saying, “Densely packed with ingenious systems, Weird West is a game of endless possibilities that encourages player choice and agency in a way very few other games do, and reacts to your actions across every level of interactivity. Fans of immersive sims and action RPGs won’t want to miss this.” You can read our full review through here.

Weird West is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
