“We’re not working on anything for PS Vita”- Naughty Dog

Posted By | On 21st, Feb. 2012

Naughty Dog’s community manager Arne Meyer Naughty Dog isn’t working on any PS Vita games, and that the dev team doesn’t have plans for the system “right now.” Never say never, though, Naughty Dog says.

In response to what SVP of PlayStation brand managing , Guy Longsworth said a little time back- that all major development teams at Sony, including Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Guerilla and Media Molecule will be working on the Vita some time in the future-, ND’s Meyer said: “”We’re not working on anything for PS Vita.”

“I won’t say never, ever, but there’s no plans for it right now,” he continued. “We’ve always felt that consoles play to our strengths as a studio the best.”

“I hate to sound like a treading the line spin-meister here, but I’ve said that traditionally consoles have played to our strengths – and desires to push the utmost limit of resources and memory our tech and engine,” he added later.

“That can change with the right handheld, as why I said I won’t ever say ‘never’ but we hadn’t encountered that yet.”

Well, Sony Bend did a pretty good job of handling ND’s Uncharted franchise for the Vita. You can read our review for Uncharted: Golden Abyss here.
