Where Winds Meet

Everstone Studio’s Where Winds Meet finally launched worldwide for PS5 and PC, nearly a year after its well-received release in China, and it’s off to a smashing start. The developer announced more than two million players in the first 24 hours, but that’s not all. It was also among the top 3 best-selling games on the PlayStation Store in seven regions and the seventh best-selling game on Steam.

In terms of player counts, at least on Steam, it was the fifth most-played game on the platform at launch. While it attracted over 170,000 peak concurrent players on the first day, that number has since grown to nearly 194,000 (and could escalate even further).

Honestly, it’s well-deserved. As we noted in our review, Where Winds Meet is one of this year’s best experiences, offering a “staggering” amount of content alongside fantastic combat and an intriguing story. Everstone hasn’t detailed what’s next or when the next major update will be released, or when the global version will catch up with China, so stay tuned for further news.
