Windjammers 2 Launches on January 20th, 2022

Dotemu's sequel to the cult-classic Neo Geo sports title has been delayed out of 2021 but has finally received a definite release date.

Dotemu’s Windjammers 2 has been delayed again, this time missing its 2021 release window. But the good news is that it now has a release date. It’s out on January 20th, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One and Google Stadia. Check out the latest gameplay trailer below.

As a sequel to the Neo Geo classic, it features an arcade mode, an online ranked league and casual PvP. Along with new stages and power moves, it features the same classic mechanics like the dropshot, slapshot and EX Moves for each character. Returning characters include Hiromi, Klaus, Loris, Steve, Jordi and many more while newcomers Sophie, Max Hurricane, Jao and Sammy joining the roster.

Arcade Mode offers championships to partake in along with optional challenges. There’s also local multiplayer support along with online support. For more gameplay, check out footage of Steve Miller here. Stay tuned for more details en route to release.
