Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Will Have Uncapped Framerates on PC; PS4 Pro Enhancements Confirmed

"I am confident that PC players will be very happy with the PC version."

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus legitimately looks like one of the best, most exciting upcoming games in a year that has been full of utterly fantastic games. And it looks like it will not disappoint players on the technical front, either.

Speaking in a GameSpot interview, MachineGames creative director Jens Matthie confirmed that the game will have PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements (until now, only Xbox One X enhancements had been confirmed), before adding that for PC players, they would have a special treat in the form of support for uncapped framerates.

“We have uncapped frame rates. We are huge PC players, too, and I think all of id’s games have a very strong PC DNA in them. So, it’s very important for us to make sure the PC version of the game feels as solid as any console version. And [PC] is also our primary testing platform. I am confident that PC players will be very happy with the PC version,” he said.

This will be good to hear- it sounds like everyone playing this game will get the best experience possible on their platform, which is just as great, because it means they can all enjoy a fantastic game without having to worry about how much better it might have been. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus launches on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 27, with a Nintendo Switch version following next year.
