MachineGames’ Wolfenstein: Youngblood is out and garnering some rather divisive opinions from fans (check out our review here). Many bemoan the new protagonists, Jess and Soph, while others have a problem with the co-op AI. The microtransactions garnered a fair bit of criticism – Silver Coins can be earned in-game for suit unlocks, skins, upgrades, and boosters. However, you could also purchase Gold Bars for those cosmetics (with most being unlockable with Silver Coins alone).
Eventually, some players found out that third party cheat software could be used to provide all the Silver Coins needed to unlock everything. The development team caught on fairly quickly though. Thanks to a recent hotfix, it’s no longer possible to cheat your way to tons of currency. Calibrono on Reddit, who first pointed out the issue, confirms that it’s been fixed.
Such a response is warranted, since using unauthorized cheats breaches the game’s EULA. Some players seem disappointed that the first hotfix only fixed this one issue as opposed to several others that are still present in the game. Regardless, if you want to unlock things, you’ll have to play the game normally.
