In Battlefield: Bad Company 2, players control Preston Marlowe as he attempts to locate a scalar weapon device within Russia. Upon tracking down the scalar weapon, Preston discovers the device was a fake. Even though the mission was a failure, Army General Braidwood was impressed with the work and dedication Preston Marlow and his team showed.
The general decides Marlowe and company should be attached to the Special Actives Division that will take the group to new locations, grander missions and even deadlier enemies. Much like other Battlefield games in the series, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 tosses players with a number of different vehicles to use at their disposal while also incorporating highly destructive environments.
